What We Do: Impactful Projects for Transformation

01.

Grace Care Boarding School (GCBS) & Grace Care Academy (GCA)

Providing quality education from Nursery to Class XII, GCBS aims to transform the lives of children from underprivileged backgrounds. Open to students from Grace Care Home and neighboring villages, the school collaborates with other institutions to offer a comprehensive education.

02.

Grace Care Higher Education

Each year, Grace Care supports eligible and needy children in pursuing higher studies, including diplomas and degrees. By investing in their education, the organization aims to create a pool of qualified professionals and responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.

03.

Helping Hands Project

Focused on providing immediate assistance to those in need, the Helping Hands Project distributes free education through Evening School programs. Additionally, it offers monetary aid, free food packets, and essential items to vulnerable individuals, including pregnant women, mothers, infants, widows, and the elderly.

04.

Grace Care Vocational Training (GIVT)

GIVT empowers women through quality sewing training, enabling them to become self-sufficient breadwinners for their families. Sponsors have the option to support the project by sponsoring sewing machines, contributing to the economic resilience of the community.

05.

Save Girl Children Project

Recognizing the challenges faced by girls in India, this project addresses issues such as female feticide, gender-based discrimination, child marriage, and violence. The initiative seeks to save and empower girl children, working towards a future where they are valued and have equal opportunities.

06.

Project Shelter: Providing Safe Havens for the Homeless

Focused on addressing homelessness, Project Shelter endeavors to offer safe and secure living spaces for those without homes. As a response to the urgent need for shelter, the project aims to provide a dignified and supportive environment for individuals experiencing homelessness.

A word from the founder

From Desperation to Dedication: A Mission to Rescue India's Lost Children

On a summer day in 1997 at a railway station in southern India, while I was waiting for a train, I noticed a young boy, about five years old, walking down the tracks. The boy was so thin that I could even count his bones. As I watched, I noticed the boy was looking for something, possibly money or gold, I thought. But then I saw the boy pick up a juice container from the filthy tracks and squeeze it with all his might to elicit a few drops to quench his thirst. Then the boy found a food wrapper thrown on the track and tried to eat the residue as he was hungry.  I began to whisper to myself … the stray dogs and the rats have plenty to eat, but this little child, created in the image of God, supposed to be the crown of creation – is rummaging through filth to try to feed himself! As I watched; the boy slowly walked away, and I could not see him anymore. Suddenly, I heard the voice reaching out to me with so much clarity: “I was hungry, and you gave me nothing to eat.” I couldn’t hold back my tears. For me, this boy represented the thousands of children longing for care and love around the country. These thoughts within me began to take deeper roots, and I knew God wanted to speak to me and prepare me for a mission ahead — saving the lost children of India. I made a small prayer and rededicated my life on that day, saying, “Oh God, this is just one lifetime; I just want to dedicate my life to you and be a blessing for children in need, orphans, and abandoned ones.”

Later, my wife Annie and a team of like-minded young people joined me in this vision and mission. We began a special care project for the street children of Delhi and adjoining cities in 2002. God enabled us to open the first Grace Home for Children in Need on 16 November 2003. I am grateful to all our dear friends and partners of Grace Care; that we have been instrumental in touching and transforming hundreds of children who otherwise lived under the shadow of death. My prayer is that God enables us to bring thousands to life, the abundant life promised in our mission.
